I’m a physician and storyteller. How does a physician become a storyteller? Well, that’s a long story (coming soon), but right now I’ll just say that “healing” comes to us in so many different way.
Today, along with my stethoscope and my prescription pad … I carry stories as my medicine.
Stories are Medicine
Stories can help us heal our emotional blocks, carry us beyond limiting beliefs, inspire us spiritually, or even move us into action towards physical healing. The medicine of stories touches hearts, changes minds, connects us, heals the teller and the listener, creates and heals communities. Storytelling is my peace work. I currently teach “Storytelling as Healing” at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in Fort Myers, Florida.
