My Personal Prayer for 2022

On this second day of the new year, I step into the ritual of looking at the year ahead. I celebrate beginnings and endings in the same way that I marvel at the sunrise and the sunset, marking time with their beauty. Today, I sink into my intention for the year. From a place of meditation, I feel into they great mystery of all that is unknown. What should I do in the coming year? Underneath the uncertainty, I rest on something solid — the prayer to manifest a path of inspired living.

What is the prayer, the solid ground, that you can rest on?

Here is my personal prayer for 2022 based on Suzanne Scurlock’s Wisdom Areas of the body. Perhaps it will inspire your own personal prayer. And perhaps you are inspired to join me in an upcoming online New Year Retreat for Release and Renewal, January 7 – 9, 2022. With storytelling, sacred space, wisdom teachings, and a powerful prayer process, you create your own personal prayer of manifestation for the coming year. Click HERE >>

Dr. Joel Ying’s Personal Prayer for January 2022

O Great Mystery, All That Is,
My Intention is to trust the path of inspired living.

I call upon the wisdom deep in my heart.
Thank you … for inspiring my spirit with passion for storytelling and teaching. I give gratitude for the power to heal.
Help me … to keep my passion ignited.

I settle into the wisdom of my gut.
Thank you for … the gift of instinctual knowing.
Help me to … listen deeply, trust my gut knowing, and be decisive in the present moment.

I sit into the wisdom of my pelvis.
I give thanks for … the energy and creativity to manifest this intention.
I ask for … sustained energy to birth new creativity.

I sink deep into the wisdom of my bones.
I give gratitude for … the steadiness in the waves of life’s emotions.
I ask for … the courage to surf the waves to new shores and feel strength in my bones.

I stand strong in the wisdom of my legs and feet.
I give gratitude for … the courage to walk in the world, stand up and stand out.
I pray for … action inspired by spirit.

I call upon the wisdom of my integrated brain.
I give thanks for … planning and strategy.
I ask for … continued clarity to see the un-limiting beliefs to the open path ahead.

I expand into the wisdom of the front of my heart.
I give thanks for … the power to express my stories into the world.
I pray for … courage to give voice to the deep heart of the world through story and to inspire others by example. May I continue to honor and express my truth on the path ahead.

O Great Mystery,
I call upon the wisdom of my full body presence.
I honor all the wisdom that has arisen.
May this or something greater come to pass.

Blessing

I distill that prayer into a blessing that I can invoke as a quick recharge of my intention. Prayers are living things that grow and change, and this blessing may also continue to grow and change.

I, Joel, live an inspired and courageous life, my own story, healing and teaching by example.
