“Beware Beware the Bully Goat Grim”
There is healing in laughter, especially the belly-rolling, milk-snorting, can’t-breath laughter. Watch the video below. Perhaps you have heard the story of the Billy Goat Grim, but this is a fractured version of the story, The Bully Goat Grim. The talented Willy Claflin performs with his “malaprop” puppet Maynard the Moose, who tells “Mother Moose Stories.”
Each story has a new moral that only a moose could make up. “If there is no moral,” says the Moose, “then it’s just mindless entertainment.” Kids of all ages (yes, that includes adults) enjoy his stories. I just watched him perform at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
